Does anyone have a more up to date copy of the TC5-200 manual with the M1 Abrams MERDC pattern in it? Or heck even a source for the manual with all the vehicle patterns in it up to the mid 80’s before the NATO three color pattern came into use.
The link for that manual off of Olive Drab.com seems to no longer be working.
I have these scans of the M1 MERDC pattern from an old IPMS Quarterly issue

Much appreciated!
I’m not sure if any of the straight M1s or M1IP carried MERDC camouflage. Fort Knox’s US Army Armor Center and School tanks carried some wierd test patterns and many of the fielded tanks remained overall green.
Tamiya’s M1 instructions has the complete scheme on them.

Looking up photos in the past, aside from the Ft Knox school tanks, it seems like only the earliest M1s assigned to 2nd Armored Division were painted in some sort of MERDC scheme.
Good call on the Tamiya instructions. I think I have one of their early kits in my stash still.
I know the M1’s at Fort Hood had the winter verdant MERDC pattern until at least 1986 when they went three color NATO.
I did run across an old photo of a 2AD Abrams in their funky scheme.
