Tom not much but I have a REALLY nice camouflaged MILK JUG LOL it will probably be very usefull on my Axis Aces Fw190/A8 mottleing [:D] and from what I hear it is great for doing skin tones and making them nice and soft
::BUMP:: didn’t want this one to be forgotten about.
Oh by the way Chris, maybe the next GB I start will be the “Paint Mule” Milk Jug GB. We can show progress pics of our milk jugs and the interesting schemes we have put on them! [;)]
Hey Panzerwulff,
I am in the process of attaining my pop’s noseart and markings for a B-25 he flew in out of New Guinea. I’ve been looking for this decal sheet for years and I might finally be able to get them. So put me on the list. If for some reason I can’t get the decal sheet the kit decals have a B-25 that was in his bomber group. Would this work? Let me know.
Thanks

NP Zip Your’e in only 1 question what kit and scale?[:D]
My kit will be the Monogram B25J and it will be 1/48. I started the kit alittle over a year ago. I put it away when my pop past away. I didn’t get too far on it though. Is that OK?
Thanks

Gotcha Zip not a problem if it’s already started[;)]
Well I am finally underway on the B-25J, I’ve been a little bit overwhelmed at work lately so I haven’t been able to concentrate on modelling but I got a few things done…
I’ll update yall soon on this…
Here a couple pics of my B-25J. Me and my pop started this about 2 years ago just before he started feeling to sick. He was diagnosed with lung cancer shortly after I got the kit. It was his plane he flew in out of New Guinea. He passed away on Good Friday a year ago. I put it away until now. I decided what the heck, it fits in this group build so here it is just the way we left it. Just recently I tracked down the decals for his noseart and marking thanks to acouple of very nice people in these forums ( paul_toz, Hippy-Ed, and Toother1321). I wish I would have taken a couple pics of the interior. I’m sure there will be other B-25s in this build with interior pics. So what you see built so far was built with one of the men who actually flew in it sitting right beside me. My pop. How cool is that!! So that is the connection I have with my build. I am also using this build in another GB, so if you see this post in some other post that’s why.
Thanks

Lookin Good Zip [;)][tup][tup] btw is that my favorite wash medium I see in the background of the second pic WATERCOLORS???[:D][:o)]
Yes sir,
You’re the reason they are there! After you told me about using them as a wash I have used them on a couple of cockpits and the results are great! Thanks!

Zip - looking good!! I am anxious to get my Mitchell underway… so far I am about 50% done with the cockpit. I got all the PE on the sidewalls and have the seats and such done. I am working on the bomb bay at present too… tomorrow or Fri I will do a wash and be ready to close her up. Pictures this weekend!!
Thanks Tom,
I’m really anxiuos to get going on this kit again. Can’t wait to see your pics!

I finally have a little progress to report. Although it’s not on the actual “building” part of my B-24, it is however, an important step (to me at least). I’ve been doing a lot of work on my custom decals, and I’ve completed the nose art. I was lucky enough to find the artpiece in a pinup book at my local library and then do some editing. So, here it is, prior to shrinking down for printing so you can see the detail before it’s lost:
looks cool Geoff I’m glad to see everyone other than me making headway my comp kicked the bucket so I have to post when i can get comp time at the library more on that later[:P][;)]
Hey PanzerWullf,
I’m having a little problem with my build. I’m too emotionally attached to the B25 that I started with my pop before he died. I just can’t bring myself to work on it. I don’t want to cover up any of his work with paint. I think I will put it away and leave it just the way it was when we had quit working on it. So just to let you know I will be buying another one and starting over.

NP Zip I can fully understand about 8 years ago I built a RC Corsair with my great uncle he kept it in storage and after his death last year it was sent to me I just can’t bring my self to fly it because if I crash it …Well you understand so getting another kit and doing a “Do Over” is fine[;)]
Hey guys,
I did alittle kit research the last couple of days to see who made a suitable B25D to replace the one me and pop worked on and I came up with two. One was by Italeri and the other by Accurate Miniatures. I have built Italeri armor before and to tell you the trruth I don’t feel comfortable forking out $60.00 on a Italeri kit. I have an Accurate Miniatures TBM-3 Avenger in my stash. The Avenger kit has always impressed me so I went with the Accurate Miniatures B-25.
This kit is equally impressive. Everything is crisp and the decals (which I will not be using) are nicely done for three different planes. Fully detailed interior, weighted tires, canopy mask, and if you want to build the Red Wrath it has a painting mask to paint the parot on the nose. For some reason, I guess I will soon find out, there is three canopies. The kit says the nose weight is included and in the instruction the weights in the form of brass plates that you glue together are shown. I searched all over for them and in the false bottom of the box ( which is an ingenious way to protect the clear parts and decals I found an addendum stating " NOSE WEIGHTS HAVE NOT BEEN INCLUDED AS THE VENDOR IN KOREA THAT MADE THESE PARTS CANNOT SUPPLY THEM. PLEASE USE SINKERS OR LIKE METAL PARTS TO ADD WEIGHT. Other than that, this kit is very impressive and I can’t wait to get started.
Thanks
Zip
Check out whats inside the box:
After a closer look I notice even though there are three canopies, they are all different.
Here are the great decals which I will not be using. Thanks to my friends Toother and Hippy Ed I have nose art from the plane my pop flew. In the lower left corner of the pic you can see the mask for the Falcon Nose art. THe yellow sheet is mask for the canopies.
I should be able to start soon! Can’t wait, I’ve just got a couple obligations to finish.
Thanks

Got the panel line scribing pretty much wrapped up on my Lib. Just got to give her one more sanding and then I can start on interior. How are all you guys doing?
I am unfortunatly bogged down with RL interruptions most notably my upcoming eye surgery as I have a Diabetic Hemmorage or “Bleed” in my left eye making modeling difficult I hope to be back to building by Febuary[;)]
