One in 1/48 and a book

Did you mean the Me 263 or the Me 163?
Mike (x2) has pointed out the 1/48 Me 263 from CM which was a continuation of the Me 163 design with a longer fusealge for more fuel, a two stage motor to allow a cruising speed and most importantly… landing gear. I’ve built the Huma 1/72 Me 263 and I understand that Special hobby has also released a 1/72 Me 263. I do not believe there is a 1/32 version.
Hasegawa is about to re-release a 1/32 kit of the Me 163. In 1/48 scale dragon models has the Me 163 and I believe there was an Eduard model and a Revell kit as well in that scale.
awesome thanks for the reply
i think its the 163 im not sure at the moment
Joe, here is a picture showing the Me 263 (grey one in front) with the Me 163 and the me 163s trainer (two seater) in the background (all 1/72 scale). The Me 263 only made it to prototype stage with about a dozen more in production when the war ended. The Me 163 actually saw operational use with a couple of units.
Very nice work, Dave! [tup]
…so knock it off! I have enough on my plate as is, and seeing those makes me want to yank my Trimaster kit out of the stash and get started on it as well! [swg]
Thanks Mike! The Me 163 is one of my favorites and I have more in my stash to be built yet! [:D]
I have one of the 1/48 Czech Model ME-263 kits in my stash. I started on it, then got really frustrated with it and put it in the spares box. [banghead]
Hi Daywalker,
Ive got a couple of these salted away for a rainy day and they look so nice in the box. But judging by your comment, are they as bad as I
ve heard?

Gary-
Gluing the wing parts together leaves huge gaps and the fuse has an awful twist in it that I have been unable to get straight. The resin parts are very nice, but the main gear bay looks to be a poor fit. It could just be my five thumbs per hand, but it seems to me the worst fitting kit I have ever attempted.
Nice work Dave! I bet those are some tiny kits!
