Inspired by the some fairly recent work of dragonfly and ruddratt on their 1/32 262’s, I got a lot done on my Tamiya 1/48 262A-2a entry in the In My Stash GB with the Nor’easter shutting things down here yesterday. I’ll bet this was a lot easier in 1/32 scale[sigh].
NICE!!! you put a lot of detail and work into that model. looking forward to seeing the finished product! [:D]
Looks fantastic Marc!! The plumbing looks just right. What markings are you going with?
Jerry
Looks awesome so far, Marc! Almost impossible to tell that it isn’t 1/32 scale. No way my skills would have allowed me to attempt that level of detail in 1/48. The 262 is my all time favorite jet, and this one is gonna be a real looker when it’s finished. I’ll be following this build closely.
Like the detail Marc, She is gonna be a looker
Thad
Truly impressive, Marc. The underside detail looks like the real thing. Keep those pics coming.
Great start Marc. Excellent detail work. Keep us posted.
Regards, Rick
Very nice work on the plane. Does all that interior detail come as part of the kit or is it aftermarket or scratch built?

Good job! The bare metal looks great, just the right amount of weathering, have you used any resin or PE parts? also what do you use for the cables? Do you pre paint the cables or attch first?
Now Marc, stop showing off…[:D]
Mate, that looks superb! Keep the updates coming, this one is gonna be good![tup]
Thanks all for the comments.
Jerry-Not sure yet. I was originally to use the kit decals but they are thick and I am not too crazy about the camo schemes. Although the squiggly one is an excuse to practice with the new 150 LG AB[:D]
Texgal- except for the wiring and the PE seatbelts the detail it all kit.
Tecs- No resin and the only PE is the seat belts. The wiring is really thin solder, .009"… for a comparison a #80 bit is .014", that I got from Buffie’s Best. It’s not cheap there but iut came with an engine I ordered. Anyone know where else to get solder that thin? I made the bundles and for the wheel well first and pre-painted before installing. The ones in the gun bay were picked out with 0000000000000000000 brush [;)]
Ooooohhhh! Pretty! I’ve built a couple of these and they are beautiful kits. I love all the detail you’ve added. I recently built the Trumpeter 1/32 Me262, and tried to add all the wiring looms etc. But it didn’t look half as good as your effort.
Well done!
Phil
Marc, I got mine from Woodland Scenics (but that was so long ago that I’m not even sure if they’re still around). It came in 3 bundles, .030", .020", and .010".
Wow! Fabulous work- the wiring really makes it look sharp.
Keep posting pics!
yours looks awesome. a lot better than mine does at this point.
joe
Marc, great progress, the cabling looks excellent.
I’ve got the same kit on the go at the moment, but I’ve only added the cabling behind the IP.
BTW I use 5 Amp fuse wire for cabling and brake lines.
Karl
Wow! Great work as usual, Marc.
That main landing gear well looks excellent, can’t wait to see the finish product.
current project:
1/72 VIIC/41 U-boat with [censored]#!%*%? tiny photo etch detail parts but I love it anyways.
Future projects:
Another VIIC with all the interior compartment sets, and more tiny photo etch parts! The newly release Gato (just waiting on photo etch parts for that one). The 1/350th Arizona and Bismark and saving for the super detail sets for those two.
1/32nd F-18D, F-105D and G, Mig-29, Mig-21, Tornado, F-4E, ME-110G.
1/48th B-17G, B-24D, A-4M and E, SBD, Avenger to name a few.
Thanks all. Getting it all buttoned up and ready for paint… later, getting late and i need my beauty sleep.
About time you built a Jet insted of a FW190[:D]
