I’m just wondering if anyone here is using the Master brand Compressor TA-20T. This is the one that has the air tank attached. I’m looking to upgrade my compressor from the small little one I got as a package deal off of Amazon. I cant justify spending $200+ on a compressor system, when I can get the Master for $99 and free shipping from TCP Global in San Diego.
I am just checking to see if anyone is currently using one or has used one in the past. I’d like to hear opinions both good and bad.
Surprised you haven’t gotten any responses because I’m sure there are some here who have and use the TC-20T (could the “A” in your post be a typo) from TCPGlobal - the Master branded one. Anyway, IMHO it should work well for you. I’ve purchased from TCP Global and had good experience with them.
Thanks Bick, I’m sure that probably is the case, my bad, I’ll make the correction in the title and see if that helps. I did go ahead and order this compressor, I just couldn’t pass up the deal. I was in need of a better compressor that would allow me to better regulate the pressure and had a moisture trap on it, without breaking the bank.
I received this compressor a little over a week ago. It is a good little compressor; great, stable and smooth pressure. Easy to adjust the pressure and has the moisture trap. It is a lot quieter than I thought it would be. I cant wait to do some more technical painting with it.
Glad to hear it arrived and that it’s working great. I’m still surprised that many more didn’t comment because I know there are a lot of users here. I also think it is the same basic unit as the more expensive Badger Aspire without the case. Just one thought for the future: I find the 0-100 PSI gauges less than ideal for our use so I got a 0-60 PSI one and replaced the original on my Badger - covers the range of the compressor and gives a little more accuracy in the range we use. YMMV but here’s a pic of mine:

Thanks Bick, I too was surprised I didnt more of a response to this. I will definitely agree that a gauge like you installed will better help accurately regulate the air pressure without counting lines and guessing where you are with the pressure. The only odd thing that I found with mine is that they sent me a really nice airbrush hose; however, they didnt include the adapters to connect it, not a big deal since my current Master airbrush hose fits just fine.
It is not just the gauges. The regulators for a lower pressure range also give you a finer adjustment in the lower pressure range. The knob is less sensitive.
Thats a great tip Don, Thanks! I may have to stop by one of the local hardware stores and see what they have for regulators, or maybe just order one from a supply house. Either way, this new system is leaps ahead of where I was before I purchased it. Its amazing what a decent air compressor can do for an airbrush. I have to admit I was genuinely surprised that it would make as much of a difference as it did. Being able to produce a line almost hair-thin or a pattern up to about an inch wide. I’m sure if I were to upgrade my airbrush I could get even more surprising results.
