I have a thyroid glan that has stoped working and has enlarged. It is causeing me to have trouble breathing and swollowing. I went to see my doc yesterday and he ran tests on me to check it out. I will need an operation to remove it to clear my air way. I go under the knife on May10 in the morning. He said it should be a simple surgery and it should not be more then 2 hours.
Just thought I would give you guys a heads up. Think of me in your prayers.
I know a couple of people that have gone through this operation. It’s a pretty easy one, but you take care of yourself. I will keep you in my thoughts over the next few weeks.
Good luck mate. Just think of all the time off work you can have afterwards to make all those models you’ve never had time for!! Let us know how things go and that everything is OK.
Thanks for all the well wishes. I do appreciate them.
I’m fealing pretty good at the moment. The trouble swallowing and breatheing comes and goes. I try to keep my mind off of it by detailing that awsome Trump CH-47A and thinking of that CH-47D that we should be seeing in our LHS soon.
Hang in there, you’ll do fine. The docs today are pretty good with the old exacto! I just lost a hunk of my left ear to a milanoma two weeks ago…You go through a lot of mental gyminastics at a time like this but DONOT let it get you down. (easy to say, hard to do) Besides, I have it on good authority that most surgeons are model builders…heck anybody who uses a knife and super glue can’t be all bad.
