Marder pics

OK, here’s my first attempt at posting pictures on the forum…

This is Tamiya’s 1/35 Marder III. I built it straight OOB. The only things I did was to box in underneath the shell storage area with sheet styrene so you can’t see down into the hull. Drilled out the machine gun barrel, and gun cleaning tubes, and closed up the rear of the smoke discharger box located under the muffler/exhaust.

Hope you guys like it OK. It took first place in its category at the 2002 IPMS Nationals.[:I]

Great build Gip!
Although you don’t need my humble opinion when compared to the FIRST PLACE qualification you received. Congratulations!
Glad to see something new to accompany your valuable safety contributions.

looks great
i like the colour and the base looks great

Gip,
great build!
superb shading/dry brushing.
congratulations.

Outstanding work Gip. Well deserved.

In an excellent build, I particularly like your work on the muffler and the seat on the side. TerrificStuff.

Excellent work Gip!!! The weathering looks great on your Marder and you definitely deserved the win for that one!!

Eric

Love the paint job. OUTSTANDING!!! keep up the good work.[:D] looks like you added rivets to the back side of the fighting compartment, down in the corner.

Beautiful, Gip!
Certainly deserving of a first place award.
And it’s in my favorite color!

Thanks for all the positive comments. They are certainly appreciated.

Erick,
No bolts or rivets were harmed (or added) in the making of this kit–otherwise it would no longer be OOB!

Beautiful model, very nicely done [:)]

Great looking Marder Gip. I have been thinking of adding the back to the box on my Marder to. Did’nt think of it while I was building it of coarse.

Easy to understand why you won first place. Excellent weathering job. Thanks for posting.

WOW!! simply amazing!!! I love it, your muffler/exhaust area is the best I’ve ever seen.

That looks great. Wish I could build like that.

Styrene, that’s great ! [tup]

Excellent job with drybrushing. Gotta love older tanks w/all their bolts, they are great for that ! Great paint job as well.

Nice job

Oh, Yah… they need to be placed along the floor. sorry, it has been a while since i built the kit and I am easily confused[:I]
