Hi guys, For my next model i want to build tamiya marder III Or Marder III M.
My other choices in my head are tamiya wesp and dragon hummel.
What one is easiest to build?
I want something with vinyl tracks. Please help.
go for one of the Marders then
, ive got the Marder IIIM and its ment to be a very good kit without the need for any aftermarket bits (maybe a set of Friumodel tracks)
Stick with Tamiya then, the Dragon kit will almost certainly have indy link track.
The Tamiya MArder kits are excellent ,they have the rubber band type tracks but still quite good ! I would go with one of them. Although the dragon kits are good as well ,( but they will have those nasty indies )[B)]
The Tamiya Marder 3 is an exellent kit. the vinyals in it are great to. Have had quite a few people think that they were something else on the one I built other than vinyal.
Tamiya’s Marder III and III M are fantastic. New Mold and pretty good Vinyl tracks.
P.S. Still trying to get back into the swing of things Shermie
I’m building the Marder III M for the D-Day build. It’s a nice looking kit. I built the Wespe, also a nice looking kit. Good choices.
thanks guys, I think i will build the Marder 3 and later a wespe with winter camo.
thanks again.
P.S. ill be posting progress pics as soon as i get the kit.
I think the Marder 3 is overpriced.
Go for the Marder IID [:)]
It’s a panzer II lower, with a Pak installed.
I’m ok on the price. now my question is, Marder III h or Marder III M?
I just can’t decide. well it all comesdown to my model shop, i take whatever they have. but if they have both ill be there for an hour. Whats your input?
Don’t go for the M if you are planning on building the Wespe. They have very similar hulls. Variety is the spice of too many cooks or something like that.
Good luck with the kit buying, and after seeing your work on your 251, I look forward to seeing the results.
True they are, but the wheels and guns are quite different. I never cared much for the M until I saw Private Ryan and i was hooked. [:p] I guess it boils down to preference.
I prefer the 7.62cm version (the H) It is a small but very kool looking machine . And it raised hell with the russians when first encountered, some of the russian tankers thought they got hit by the 88 !
