Maybe a prayer is in order for those who perished on that commercial jet shot down near the Ukraine/Russian border. I just wonder how our parents and grandparents felt in 1917, 1939, 1953, 1965 and on and on…… A world gone completely mad. Again.
Prayers to all lost souls and their families
Couldn’t say it better ^
Yes but the world today is a far more dangerous place than in the first half of the last century… Events can create their own momentum and unintended consequences such as this can result. The dead of this horrific event must be mourned, honored, and never forgotten so that similar tragedies never again occur.
Yey , that we should be smart enough not to repeat our mistakes. Instead of doing it over and over again . This kind of thing makes me sick to my stomach ! May the God these poor people prayed to, rest them in the bosom of faith !
My significant other’s daughter just arrived for a visit. She knew an international student from Bloomington who perished in that mess. It truly is a small world…gone mad indeed.
My sister and her husband lived in Holland for several years and she went back and forth to K L on business quite a bit. She knew of some one on the 370 fight but not this one.
But she tells me that Holland is a very small country where everybody knows somebody who knows somebody and so forth. a huge national tragedy.
Six degrees of seperation thing? A huge national tragedy for several nations.
Carlos you and I grew up in the airline industry. It’s a close group too.
Dad told me that within 4 weeks of joining UAL in 1953 they lost a DC-6 somewhere. It really hit him because he was working for guys who knew the crew.
Yes indeed. My step mother in law was a flight attendant for TWA and later American Airlines after all that merger stuff had settled in the 90s ( to put it politely). She had co worker friends on the 9/11 AA flights among the crews. That hit her profoundly.
I heard inspection might be getting close. And god bless
There were a lot of Australians on the MH 17 flight when it went down. But in Australia, were were angry about it. It even went so far as our prime minister, tony abbot, (you guys should be thankful that he isn’t YOUR prime minister!) threatened to “shirt front” Vladamir Putin!
