Making Toilets on 1/48

I am currently working on a Monogram B-17G. The version I’m doing carried a chemical toilet. My question is how I might make a roll of toilet paper in 1/48. Any ideas?

Perhaps a doll house supplier might have such?

I’ll check that out. Thanks!

Slice styrene rod then add a tiny piece of decal film on it for start of the end of the roll.

This is an interesting question, I had to look it up with Google, and got a surprising number of results. Apparently scatology has its audience. From what I found it appears the US Army issued TP in packets during WWII, not rolls, and you can see pictures of them if you search for it. You could model them from a tiny strip of white tissue paper with a tan tissue paper to make the sleeve/wrapper. I assume a supply would be placed conveniently close to the biffy, along with a copy of Stars and Stripes.

Probably was too much detail on the subject, but having it in your bomber would be a conversation piece. Appropriate conversation, maybe not so much.

Well, at 1/48, the texture is going to largely invisible.
Back in the day, the rolls maxxed out at 4.5" (11.3cm) wide and were between 3" (76mm) and 4" (101mm) in diameter on a 7/16" (11mm) core.

The War Department infantry packets were about 6 x 3 x 1/2" (152 x 76 x 12mm) and contain about 50-60 sheets of 5x5 paper.

The Navy Department boxes where shoebox sized, about 5 x 5 x 15 inches.

Something like this is what I was thinking. This looks like the way to go, I think. Thanks!

Reminds me of a funny story about an army base on a strict budget. Sign in the restroom said “Why use two when one will do?” Underneath it in scrawl: “For Gracious Living”
