Making realistic Tarpaulins

I recently did an article on an easy way to make tarpaulins (cos I’m rubbish with the glue method) - for those that have not seen it and are interested you can view it here http://www.armorama.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Sections&file=index&req=viewarticle&artid=1001&page=3

Heres the finished item:

Thats funny I just read it over there. I haven’t tried it yet but thanks for the method.

BTW looks great on the model too. [:)]

Looks great man! I too read the article and it was nice to learn another way to make tarps! I use lead foil as it’s easier for someone who doesn’t drink to get the foil LOL! Maybe one day I’ll try it out! Thanks for sharing

Fabulous looking build. That tarp is particularly amazing. Wow.

That does look nice. I don’t mean to be too particular but I thought the loops at the top of the Jagdtiger hull were for wire to add foliage and not to strap down a tarp. I mean, it was a closed top (and therefore waterproofed) vehicle. There are rubber gaskets on the hatches and everything… Just wondering.

Yeah I know  I saw a similar build by Phil Stutcinkas on the front of TMM and it looked so good I just had to try it out. Imagine that the roof of the turret has been damaged, making the tarp neccessary until it can be repaired  - Sometimes I just build stuff because it looks good - not for 100% historical accuracy
