I am currently working on a diorama, and have run into a problem. I want to depict my Jagdpanzer in a Hungarian field in '44/ '45. I want to replecate tall grass, and lots of it, but dont know how. Should I glue individual clumps together and then glue those near each other?. Any help?
Use Woodland scencis field grass. Build the base first and paint it etc. Then, drill holes into the base. Clump up some grass and cut one end to height. with the end you just cut drop some super glue and place it into the hole. White glue can also be used but it will take longer to settle. Repeat the process. you’ll have to set them fairly close to each other to get a good effect. Finally, there is a tool at micromark that is used for planting. Havent used it yet but it looks like a big helper.
Here is a photo of the field I made using the field grass previously mentioned. I made a field in styrofoam by making a hole and inserting clumps in the rows.
Time consuming, but I was pleased with the results.
