So How do you make a camo net for models anyway, No one has told me how to make one.
I ‘bought’ some Verlinden Camo nets. Work great, especially the part about not having to make them!

I mix elmers glue and water to a soupy consistency, then put in some medical gauze and soak it. I then take the gazue out, roll it or put it on the model and sprinkle on dry tea leaves. When everything is dry, I airbrush brown or green on any part of the gauze that is showing. Practice on an old model to get the hang of the technique. HTH
thrashergklm;
Depending on which environment of camouflage net you’re making determines the material to use and the colour used.
Medical Gauze or Cheese Cloth (Best quality you can find)
Is what I have used along with the tea leaves idea as previously mentioned makes a decent temperate climate camouflage net. Desert camouflage minus the tea leaves.

thrashergklm,
I use cheese cloth. You can get a yard for about $.50 or so.
I just pick a color for the netting I want, take a few drops of paint and add some thinner (much like a wash) and soak the cloth in it to color it. Remove it from the stain and blot out the excess moisture.

You’ll find (as stated above) that cheese cloth, or medical gauze work really well. I usually use the gauze, cut to the proper length. I mix white glue and paint, then soak the gauze, and form to the desired shape. When dry, some spray adhesive and some crushed leaves finish it off.
A good material I have just discovered is nylons. They can be used for good small scale netting, or be stretched for used in larger scales. Just add some tea leaves and paint!
