Both of those are absolutely stellar. Very well done sir. I have this kit as well as several other Italian aircraft in my stash. As such, I too would be very interested in how your cocktail stick painting technique works. Please share.
Oh wow, Italian aircraft are some of the most attractive Second World War planes. Love the smoke ring camo!!! I too would love to hear how you do it with cocktail sticks!!!
Sorry I didn’t get back to you aerlier, but pneumonia got in the way.
I handpainted the smoke rings using the thinnest brush I could fine and thinned the acrylpaint. Though I worked carefully I considered the rings to be too thick. So with the smae bruch I made them thinner by applying desert sand colour in the inside of the rings. That looked much better. To make them a bit rougher I used the cocktail sticks, dipped them in the green paint and aded these little bulges. Hope this helps you out.
