I start assembling the Hobby Boss 706 million and I would realize that the turret mounted on the vehicle of the 720th MP in Vietnam, C-63 “Feeling Groovy” I send you two pictures that I have this turret so you know I’m talking about.
the first is to M113, but even together.
Which is pretty clear. I am going to guess that your question is whether or not the 40mm grenade launcer from the M 706 is correct for a Viet Nam deployed M 113?
As a guess, no. Baring photos of the 720 MP that is (and if my notation-fu is good, Company 2, 3rd Platoon, 6th vehicle) to sho better. What I’m remembering is that there was a Mk 8 hand cranked 40mm grenade launcer–which was Brown Water Navy issue. But, there could have been al sorts of mods using the aircraft-mounted 40mm GL.

Unless there’s been a designation change I haven’t heard about, the Army used the V-100 series Commando Cars. The H.B. label of M-706 is incorrect as that version was used by the U.S.A.F. Security Police Squadrons for Air Base Defense work along with their M-113s. I used to drive them.
M706 was the military designation for the V-100 (civilian/foreign sales designation), they are the same vehicle. HB has correctly boxed an Army M706E1. The USAF version was the M706E2, which had the large, open rear crew area as opposed to the US Army version which had the dual MG turret.
Hello.
My interest on this vehicle is the turret as I have no information on this one, I would like to know more about it.
And yes, I understood well the difference between V100 which is a version civilian and M706 which is military.
there had no more M706 equipped with this turret, on the other hand M113, yes.
