M4A3E8 Sherman EASY EIGHT

Here’s Tamiya version of the EASY EIGHT Sherman. Very detailed kit, nice build. I didn’t paint it Plive Drab, the kit was molded in that color. The two soldiers are painted Khaki drab, arfter some research. This was the color of the US Tank crew in the Korean War.

this is easily one of the best kits I have built, very well engineered.

Wow, what a striking design on the frontal plate! Was this based on a historical reference photo, or did you unleash a creative streak inspired by other Korean War “Tiger Tanks”? Looks fantastic either way

Yes it was, there was a tank battalion with that design o the front of there tanks. I’ m not 100% certain, i believe they were caled RICE RED DEVILS.

Nice job! I have one in my stash and to be honest I’m a bit intimidated by it. All I’ve ever built was aircraft. I think I’ll give it a try, thanks for sharing.

Good job, I built this model in the late '60s(?) and believe the box art showed a mouth on the hull and tiger eyes on the gun mantel. I tried to recreate it, but didn’t like how the mouth came out. So, I painted over the mouth and left the tiger eyes on the mantel. Keep up the good work.
