M4A3E2 pictures

Im in need of any M4A3E2 pictures during the Battle of the Bulge, I’ve looked on Google and Yahoo along with a few other sites. Any pics would be greatly appreciated

Keeping in mind that fewer than 300 jumbo’s were built, photos can be a little scarce. I’ve got a few in a couple of books, but they aren’t necessarily Battle of the Bulge photos. There are four close ups in “Sherman Walk Around” from Squadron. There are a couple in “Sherman in Action” from Squadron and one or two in “Sherman Medium Tank 1942-45” from Osprey. The photos in the Walk Around are pretty useful as they show a lot of detail on the turret. I’m about 85% complete on my jumbo build at this time. Been spending a lot of time staring at those few photos. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help.

Have you checked out http://www.tanxheaven.com ? They got bunch of AFV there. You may find what you are searching for. — Ben

I forgot about Tanx Heaven, they’ve got 10 or so pretty good photos of a museum jumbo.

Here are a couple of photos that may be helpful to you.

This is a photo of an M4A3E2 with Patton’s 3rd Armored Division taken sometime around December 19, 1944.

Here are 2 tanks from the 4th Armored Division, 3rd Army taken in Alzey Germany on March 20, 1945. The vehicle on the left is an M4A3E2, recently rearmed with the 76mm gun (authorized by a U.S. Army field order in March 1945). The vehicle on the right is an M4A3E8 with HVSS using T66 tracks.

This M4A3E2 was photographed at an ordnance depot Cherbourg France.

Here is an M4A3E2 photographed near Langerwehe Germany. It is using the older 75mm gun. Notice the extened end connectors on the tracks. All M4A3E2’s had these fitted to help deal with the additional 10 tons of weight (as compared to a standard M4A3 with the 76mm).
