Hello friends.
Seeing that there is rather a insane amount of aftermarket parts for various models, is there anyone who made the Calliope Rocket Launcher Conversion for the sherman?
Thanks
I believe Verlinden makes one.
Hehe.
I though if anyone would, Verlinden would be it!!!

Thank you friend.
Could not find anything with Calliope on Verlinden, but for good news, Italeri makes the M4A3 with Calliope Rocket in 1 kit.
According to my VP catalogue it is kit number 803.
I think it’s out of production.
M.
VonRyans doing one at the moment, it looks great
if you do a search on VonRyan you should find it
There was a thread about someone building one recently. I think you might be able to find the Verlinden set somewhere online still, but I’d look for the Italeri kit.
Box-stock is correct. I bought the kit a few years back. Have not seen it on the shelves for a long time. The instruction have a 288 number. Don’t know what it means. Maybe it will help in your search.

[#oops]Just noticed an error I made in my last post. I was responding to your post, BlitzZ. I don’t know what made me think that “Box-Stock” was your user name. Little rusty at this.
How dumb can I be[?]
Frank
I think the Italeri kit is oop, too. I haven’t seen a calliope for years.[:(][V]
I’m hoping that one of these companies that’s coming out with a bunch of new kits, of which some Sherm’s are a small part) will come out with a calliope, dd, etc.! it would be nice to have a state of the art kit for these guys that doesn’t cost six arms and 2 legs!
Yup, the Italeri M4A3 w/ Calliope is OOP, acually its fairly rare. Not much info on this kit out there. The only play to buy it is ebay, but I would not trust those guys on there (coming from Hong Kong).
I might be blind, but I also cant find ANY aftermarket Verlinden/VonRyans parts for the Calliope.
I wish to find the Italeri kit or some aftermarket Calliopes.
If you guys find any, please let me know.

the way i searched for these was with the Advanced search option and just put Vonryan in as the author
I did see three or four Italeri kits on e-bay last week, but they seemed pricey to me. I’m still hoping DML will come to my (our) rescue!
i didnt like the Italeri kit when i had one, the tubes wernt very good
Verliden had it a few years ago, I ordered it from a catalog. I built it on the Tamiya M-4. You really have to reinforce it where it joins the turret, the calliope is heavy. I also used fine gage brass wire to replicate the firing circuits, it was my first attempt at something like that, it came out allright.
Sorry, dont have any pix, mine gone taken out during a move a couple years back
There is one on e-bay now.

I dont trust Hong Kong. Might be some sort of ripoff or a pirated model [:p]
Plus, the shipping charge will be huge.
I don’t know. I got a model whose box was smashed flatter off eBay. I still get some stuff off eBay. Word of the wise: review the guy’s history. If it’s below 95%, you should try it. And if he doesn’t send it after 1 month, tell him your a lawyer, and that you sue him. Hey, it worked for me.
You see the thing is.
If I would use ebay, it would be for some rare stuff that is not available in the LHS or any online store.
A lot of the sellers claim that their stuff is “factory sealed” and so the price of the model goes up. Thing is, I would not mind paying a little extra for a rare kit that I would like to make, but, with home shrink-wrap machines, I dont want to pay a big price for something that ising acually “factory sealed” but the guy sealed it at home.
Any way of telling if its acually factory sealed?
