I’m in search of M-47 Patton tank to complete my ROK army armor collection. I’ve seen few of them on Ebay once in a while, but I always ending up losing the bid. I also heard that Italeri or Revell will be re-releasing M47 kit in 1/35 scale. Any idea where I can find one? And for the ROK Army version, which M-47 would be a good choice?

The newly re-issued M47 by Italeri carries ROK decals. Seeing as Italeri is a commonly available product line, any of your regular online or brick & mortar hobby shops should carry it. It’s still one of my favorite 1/35 kits.

The M47, along with the Leopard 1A4, are two of Italeri’s best tank models. Both are over twenty years old too.

I just picked up their M-47, and I gotta say that for such an old kit, this thing is great.

[sigh] I build that kit a few years ago and totally loved it, unfortunately it got demolished when I moved. But now that italeri is going to re-issue it, I will definately have to pick it up.
