m36 WIP

Hello All, I’ve finally got some work done on the Jackson. I am getting a bit frustrated with having to glue everything together about 4 times each. I don’t know what it is. I’ve never put a model together before that nothing would stay together. But I’m pushing a head. I decided to try something with it and see if it works. So please let me know what you think, Thanks in advance.

First things first–what the heck kind of glue are you using if nothing will stay together?!

Well,I started with Tenex, then I went back to Testors orange, and now I’m on some kind of weird freaky hybrid of tenex and orange , funny thing is it “seems” to be working. Oh I just about forgot I also tried Tamiya ultra thin.

Tenax R7 should have glued this together like epoxy! That stuff is meeeeean glue!

Honestly, I can’t iagine what stopped that from working–Tenax does have a tendency to evaporate extremely quickly, so did you get enough n the seams?

Man, I’d be real careful about mixing glues/chemicals together if I were you! You never know what kind of reaction you might inadvertantly produce?!

I just figured one come off the assembly line , not completely up to par. Every thing that is manufactured has one that slips by the QC department, no big deal. I have been letting the orange dry for about 20 mins or so then I have been running a dab of tenex over top of that. but anyway, what do you think of the WIP? It is still early in the build, so I do know of atleast 10-15 things I have to work on, but this is my first armor so I was looking for some help with those of you that have been building them.

I’m curious as to what the net draping is supposed to represent? Is that supposed to be camo netting? If so, then know that camo netting was propped up on poles to alter the shapes of whatever was being hidden. Also, how you have it draped, it would interfere with any access to the tank or to pull it into operation. FYI.
