What is the base kit you will be starting from?
WW2 editions used the small hatch, 57 degree slopewelded hulls or M4A1 cast hulls.
Here are some photos of an M32A1/B1, a postwar variant.

What you need is the M32 tech manual . It’s available in CD format from Mike at Easy1 Productions

Thanks for the info. I have an old Italeri kit that I’ve never gotten around to. Looks like it’ll need a lot of improvement.

thank you for the headup.
I am going to use 1/16 tamiya sherman as base. hopefully I will make all working machensim work like real tank.
another question, when you buy the CD manual, will it come with plan so you can scale down to build the parts?
thanks,tom
Hi Tom:
I’m not aware of any wartime M32 conversions made on the 47 degree hull as in the 1/16 Tamiya M4 (105) kit. There may have been postwar clients (Israel or Pakistan?) who used M4A3s w/HVSS as M32 conversions but I don’t think any were originally made like this.
The Tech Manuals don’t include 3-view drawings. They are good for detailing but not really for scratchbuilding. You’ll need Ordnance Dept drawings and I don’t know of any for the M32. Maybe you’ll need to measure the M32 parts of just scale up from the Italeri ones…
Just remember that the turret was bolted in place. At the Nuremberg Toy Show, the Italeri display had a build up M32 in a diorama to announce their re-release of the kit. The modeller had the turret turned about 45 degrees. So much for accuracy! LOL
Good luck on this project.
