Hope you enjoy this set of pics.[:)]

thats awesome

Looks awesome. Were do you get all this time to buil all these models?

neat-o job

More one great work. All this dios was made along many years, it isn´’t?
U are a big PRO

Many thanks guys, due to medical circumstances I can no longer use any kind of heavy equipment so I build, and what you are seeing as I post them are the last 5yrs of work.

Russ:
Really great finish & all the junk really looks natural. Great job !!!
Nice simply stated but effective diorama !!!

I assume that is the Tamiya Lee; was the M31 conversion an aftermarket kit or did you scratch-build it all ?

Couple of technical points.
– The side door hinges were removed & the doors welded onto the hull. The left side door had the vision port removed (blocked by the winch & cabinets); the right door retained the vision port.
– I believe the M31 should have a 5-spoke road wheel; yours appear to be 6-spoke?

And one “operational”:
– I don’t think the duffel/sleeping bag would be stored up under the dummy 75mm gun in that way as it would(could) block the door from opening.

Great work, attention to detail in all the outside storage is just great !!!

At last count there should be 1,399,234 bolts on this version you only have 944,225 bolts…[:D] Just kidding [}:)]. Hey it looks great, and something different every now and then is refreashing.

This one is in line with your other builds, that is to say extremely well done. I do love the busy and cluttered look of the rear deck.

Thanks jratz, skar and zo,the tech points are interesting thankyou and yes this conversion is scratchbuilt and it is the Tamiya Lee.

Outstanding build Russ. You’ve got a very impressive collection, they should be in a museum where everyone can enjoy them. Thanks for as always for showing your fine work. Semper Fi, mike

Too late Mike, theres already a local military museum full of my stuff. I walked into the Ashton Armoury Museum one fall day just because Id heard that it was there. I was very disappointed at the modeled military vehicle display that I could see, they were all very poorly done 1/72,1/76 and some 1/35 stuff. I offered my models and my services and replaced the whole museum collection, between 150-200 dios and vignettes, the
curater title they gave me still stands today.

looks great

Thad

Then you are, technically, Da Man!!
A well-deserved title, Sasd.
Excellent work here, too. The “junked up” look is very realistic!

The scratchbuilt vice made out of an eraser still blows me away to this day, Russ! Another masterful piece!

wow!
this is exactly what I am looking for for some time…

first, this is an excellent dio, and I’ve seen many of your lovely dios, here and in armorama, and loved them all.

second, if you’ll be kind to tell me what kits did you use…

thanks in advance for your help.

Tell me I can’t spot a winner when I see one! Russ I’d love to go through that museum your work is displayed in. What an honor to have your work publicly shown.
“You Da Man Russ”. Semper Fi, mike

Thanks very much gang,I still take stuff in to the head curator from time to time, especialy when room starts to become a question.
For Brax, the only kit used here was Tamiyas Lee,a very old kit(had it back in the 80s) and a lot of scratchbuilding. The boom I-beam had to be constructed from sheet plastic as I didnt have any plasti-struct stuff to use. The support struts are sprue and yes eraser type material made up a vise that was mounted on the transmission housing.

very good. sasd i always injoy your work. keep them coming![8]
