M1133 Sryker MEV interior

I spent 11 years in the US Army Medical Corps. Had I been mobilized in the SW Asian theater, the Stryker MEV would have my most likely assignment. Since I’ve modeling, I have kept an eye out for kits of evacuation of wounded soldiers. There are precious few on the market, which would lead to scratch building and figure modification. I found the Trumpeter kit of the M1133 MEV some time ago, and snapped one up. Just lately I found the Trumpeter kit of 1/35 figures for a modern US Army stretcher ambulance team. I wanted to show the interior of the MEV, but a pretty thorough search of available kit modifications came up short. The photo in one of these replies is from Wikipedia. I had previously printed it off for reference. To replicate the interior in miniature would be a scratch building challenge, and my skills are not up to that level of modeling. I noted an interior for the M1126 IFV, put out by D-Toys, Nr. DT35-019. It has benches and some cabinets, and could be a place to start. To fill it in would still require a lot of scratching. A modeler could fill in the spaces w/ some creative gizmology, and the non-medical viewer would not know the difference. I think it would be important to keep the clean and sterile appearance to convey the medical treatment aspect of the interior. I also found a couple of PE sets, but these are strictly exterior. There is also a set of stowage gear by AFV Club #BL 35114K, that appears to have a folded stretcher (litter) and other boxes that could hold medical gear. This is as much as I have found so far in my search to create a diorama depicting evacuation of a wounded soldier. If you find any further kits that could improve on the interior of the MEV, please let me know. I am sincerely committed to setting up this diorama, but my skill level requires me to depend on market offerings. I’d look forward to communicating w/ you in the future.

For a cheaper option, you can also get Trumpeter’s M1129 Stryker Mortar Carrier, It has a full interior that can be modified to become an M1133 MEV interior.
