This makes no sense. I’m curious as to why they did this, unless they ran out of HMMWV wheels for some reason.
I mean, yeah, you can’t shoot the wheels out, but the regular ones are runflat. I wonder how the handling is?

My guess is some mechanics had a little too much time on their hands. The old, “Hey, look M113 roadwheels and HMMWV tires have the same nut pattern I wonder if they would fit!!!”
Congress is at it again, looks like more buget cuts to me… Thats way to funny, only in the US Military would we see this. To much time on their hands is a good guess as well. Could be the mechs were having a slow day and decided to make a “low rider” or custom minitruck out of the CO’s ride. The spinners and sound system are due to be shipped in soon to complete the look. Maybe next we’ll see that same mod, only they’ll add tracks as well.

I belive that vehicle belongs to an army unit thats go to inspect a tunnel position.They just made easier to get in+out of the vehicle.[;)]
The 113 road wheels would need to be heavily modified as from what I can remember, the hummers tires where initially equipped w/inner tubes and the rims are a split rim design
