M113 Bridge-Layer.

Hi Everyone!

Many years ago a friend of mine posted here to ask if anyone had any information on a 1/35th M113 Bridge Layer conversion. As it turned out, there wasn’t a conversion kit out there so I decided to make my own!

I was told at the time that such a machine was never used in Vietnam by the US Army, after extensive research I beg to differ…

Here is my scratch built US Army M113 Bridge Layer displayed on a homemade base with some Verlinden figures and plants from my own garden.

Happy modelling!

Eric.

Looks great. So much has escaped me over the years but I am pretty certain I saw one there but was not in use.

I have no idea but that’s some nice work on the bridge layer and cool setting her up in a diorama. [Y]

Hello!

That’s a beauty of a conversion and a nice dio, too - thanks for sharing! Do you have other Vietnam projects in the works? Good luck with your modelling projects and have a nice day

Great work, wished you would have done some in-progress shots.

Looks good.

I was USMC so I don’t know much about US Army equipment but, based on my experience, nearly everything in the US military inventory saw some time in SE Asia.

A unique project indeed.

Well, that’s something I’ve not seen before! Great work on the conversion and diorama! Wish I had one of those bridges on the stream I fished last night…I slipped and fell in a couple of time trying to cross it! [:D]
