Before starting my new project and in between cleaning up the desk, I’ve indulged in a little more modeling nostalgia–this is an old ESCI M1 Abrams. This is one of the original Abrams portrayed as it was during the “CAT”–Canadian Army Trophy trials in 1987. The “cat” motif was popular to paint on the tanks, for obvious reasons. Painting is with Tamiya paints, and weathered similarly to my Leopards. A nice little kit that was a blast o build and finish in a few days. Enjoy! [:)]
Did I mention that it was 1/72 scale?!
You can still get this kit on eBay for around $15.00. I just scored an M60A2–rare for “Braille Scale”. Should be fun to relive that build too. [:)] Thanks for looking in!!! [:D]
Thanks, Cliff! I got that idea from a suggestion that my friend Adam made to me about skirts that I had on my Jgdpz IV A-0 that I did here. It worked splendidly there, and I figured it wold look cool here too.
There are members on this forum that just ooze talent. Be honest Doog. You accidentally sneezed on the sprues and this is what resulted. Really nice! knox
