The scene is Autumn 1944. On recon toward the front, our wayward Greyhound drives up a rutted, muddy lane and lurches to a stop by the imposing hulk of an abandoned Panther. Clearly, by the familiar cartoon scrawled on a bent skirt propped on the battered hull, they aren’t the first GIs to happen on this fallen giant. Annoyed and lost, the TC pops out for a smoke and glance at the map. Ever curious, his gunner scrambles to the top of the Panther’s hull, and peers over the turret with his binoculars. With bemusement, the driver looks on, sure of only one thing, once the sightseeing is over that the mud up ahead is quickly going to become HIS problem. Or something like that…[;)]
As always, opinions and suggestions for improvement are appreciated.
Excellent job monktrade. I like the dio. You did a very nice job on the figures and your Panther is well done. To me the chain on the Greyhound looks a little too shiney. I’d weather it myself. Also, since the Panther has seen a bit of action, the baffel should look worn from all the firing it must have done. Thanks for sharing.
Overall, it looks really good. The M-8 prabably should be a bit dustier. The groundwork looks to represent damp, if not muddy soil, so there should probably be some more mud clogged into the M-8’s tires. There should probably also be some tire tracks for the M-8 as well.
Those minor criticisms aside, the rest of it looks excellent. I like the groundwork, and the brush. The muddy footprints on the Panther from the soldier who hopped up on it are a nice detail touch.
