Here’s a few hour build, it’s Tamiya kit. Very easy build, paint, glueup about 3 hrs.
Got one of these on the shelf. I need to build it! Nicely done.
When you say Tamiya, you’ve pretty much said it all Jeff. Just cut the parts from the sprues, throw 'em back in the box and give it a shake and then throw the box on the floor and it pretty much falls together as a built kit. lol
Good work on this one bud.
That’s a pretty clean build overall, especially for being done that quickly.
If I could give you one piece of advice on the next one, it related to the gun barrel. Two part barrels (included in most kits) can be notoriously difficult to glue together without having seams visible. It looks like there is just one spot on yours where the tiny remnant of sprue attachment is holding it apart just slightly. A quick pass with a nail file would improve that fit and hopefully eliminate the slight gap like you have.
Not criticizing as it takes me months to years to finish even one kit and you’ve pushed out a good finished product in an afternoon. Please take this suggestion in the spirit it is meant. ![]()
Jeffrey, I always enjoy seeing what you have on the bench. You have such a wide range of interesting subjects, nicely done. Thanks for posting.
I hear what you’re sayin’ . I only turn out two or three max per year and to see that someone is able to put a kit like this together in a timely manner is just great. Wish I could do that again. lol
It does look good, nice work, but one of those next level things is to clean up that seam on the barrel, its easy to learn,it starts with carefully mating the two pieces so that the seam is barely visable,I then brush on Mr Surfacer 500 on it,let it dry and remove the excess using lacquer thinner, cleans up nice, with practice it will look like a one piece barrel
Nice! I just picked one of those kits up at a flea market this past week. That shows me that it builds up into a decent looking model. I may have to build it sooner rather than later.
It was a pretty easy build, the only trouble i had was with the figures.
