I was able to attend a WW II renacting at our local county park.
some new half trucks, a pak 75/40 and the best surprise was a M-36 Jackson tank destroyer! I was able to get some close up shots before they moved it out for battle. fisrt one I have seen running around, Sherman,Stuarts,but never a tank destroyer.

Cool! I’d guess the M36 was ex-Yugoslavian that had been restored to a US one. Do you recall any details about it, especially if it had a lower rear hull plate extension?

no, it did not have the lower plate. it did have a top attached to the turret, like photos i have seen in squadron book on tank destroyers. some one at the site thought it was a sherman because of the hull and wheels/tracks.
