Luftwaffe fighter of ww2???

ok, last week the question was best fighter…Now the question, and you guessed it …During ww2 what do you think was the best German Luftwaffe fighter during the whole war??? Bf-109…Me-262…Fw-190…

Fw 190D or the TA-152 fast, agile, and deadly.

got to be the 109… Fought everywhere from the Spannish Civil War to the last days over the Reich… Not my favourite though… The He-219 Uhu was way cooler!

Me-262 without a doubt! Not my favorite German fighter, that would be the Fw-190, but there was nothing faster and boy did it ever carry a load on cannons! Deadly and almost untouchable!

I might be alone in this but I really like the Me 110 and 410. They were no match against fighters but against everything else they were very formidable. and they did just about everything fighter bomber nightfighter JOHN

hmm. the 262 was slow accerating, the 10 was a little old but a workhorse. the 190, yeha !

Got to be the 190.

Tougher, faster, and easier to fly than the 109.

Looks like it means business, be it as fighter, night fighter with Neptun and Naxos, or as a ground attack machine.

Uhu has to be a close second though.

Call me a cheat, but I’d say the Ju88 in nightfighter configuration. A very deadly aircraft and perfect for the job…

The 262, sharklike and very visually pleasing-just like the P-51. Lotsa cool variations, too!

The 109 had a severely limited range and very small tank. It was pretty maneuverable, but very susceptable to damage. I’d have to go with the FW-D9, good range, great guns, decent maneuverability, really fast, and mean looking. The 262 is mighty good also, but hard to use on slow moving targets due to it’s speed, and it didn’t do too well moving slowly.

I have read where the German pilots preferred the 109 to fly, as it felt better and was more fun, but being liquid cooled it was just too fragile.

The only reason the 109 lasted throughout the war was that was already in production and it was easier to keep building it when Germany became desperate for airplanes. If Germany had been in a stronger position, and had the time and resources to fight the war at their liesure, the Fw-190 and its descendants would have replaced all the 109s in service.

The 109 was the best fighter in the world in 1936, but it was obsoleted by the 190 by 1941 or 42. But it certainly did have loyal pilots, and they were skilled enough to use it to rack up the highest scores in history.

And I still think it’s just plain meaner looking than anything else!

Ju88! It was the only a/c mentioned in the surender documents.
The variants covered the whole spectrum from fighter to r/c bomb.

Hands down without a doubt has to be the 190D or the Ta-152.
