Hey everybody: I am looking for a product that apparently doesn’t exist. I want a pair of tweezers that have rings for the thumb and forefinger so that you don’t have to “hold” the tool. Similar to a scissor tweezer, I guess:
But it would be designed to be used horizontally instead of vertically, just like your hands when you are using your fingers. Basically, I want a very short and very fine extension of my fingertips. Regular tweezers just don’t cut it: I want the tool to “stick” or be affixed to my fingers. Any help is greatly appreciated. - Blake
If you have a BassPro/Cabellas nearby, check their fly fishing department (check fly shops too if nearby). Hemostats are often used as hook disgorgers.
My wife is a nurse and she would often bring home unused hemostats and surgical scissors
There is a seller on Etsy who sells smooth-jaw hemostats, which are really great for clamping PE parts in for bending. The smooth jaws keep the PE from getting damaged.
True. I was rooting aroundd for something to use the other day for gluing up a small part and found a pair of hemostats in my too chest. First thing I noticed was the jaws with the rough surface and with how tight those things clamp, that was out of the question.
I have found reverse tension(The ones you squeeze to open) tweezers work well and they have different grip strengths too! Here’s a D.I.Y., Take a child’s finger rings like the “Jewel Pop” types and epoxy that ring to your tweezers. It’s adjustable and should do the job. Eat the candy first of course(Grape ain’t bad, My neighbor tell’s me,(He uses them to train Bonsai Trees).
