Hey all, I was hoping you could suggest a good 1/35 scale T-34 kit. I’ve been looking at Dragon’s T-34/76 Mod. 40. Anyone built this kit before?
Thanks in advance for any help.

I haven’t, but from everything I’ve heard, they are the kits to beat. I’m waiting patiently for what I hope will be a 42 model. www.perthmilitarymodelling.com might have a review.
I’m in t5he process of building Dragon’s T-34/85 UTZ and it is very good except the indys give me troublke.
I built the Dragon T34-85 NVA version and had no problems at all. They are the best T-34 models on the narket. Highly recommended, can’t go wrong with one. Indi-link tracks are not really that difficult either, just take your time.
like ygmodeler, i am in the middle of dragon’s t34/85 UTZ… great kit
I just picked up the T-34/76 Model 1940 off of eBay for $20 including a Gum Ka PE set and Elefant barrel. It looks like a very nice kit. I’ve also got the NVA T-34/85 and it looks very good as well.
I’m building the Tamiya 1943 T-34/76 as part of the Mad T-34 Day group. Given that it’s a 28-hour build I won’t be doing any fancy AM add-ons, but I am curious about adding individual link tracks to it following the group build. The rubber bands that come with it just do not look very realistic. So, does anybody make a track set that will be right for this kit?
Go with the Dragon kits and ignore all other 1/35th T-34 kits. Although, the mine roller on the Maquette
T-34/85 is worth buying.
Thanks for all the replies, sounds like the Dragon kit is the way to go, and as luck would have it I see they’re on sale at mission models right now.
i built the dragon t-34/76 '41 kit and it was pretty good. nice and crisp, gives you a choice of styrene and some PE parts (grills, straps, etc) i think the summer camo scheme they suggested was off though. still cool.
I have build the T-34 72 kit. Very good. Highly recomended.
I built Dragon’s T-34/85. The indie track links were a pain, but not impossible. If I had it to do all over again, I’d get some after market tracks and details.
I just finished the DML T-34/76 Mod. 1940. This kit is a gem alongside the rest of the DML T-34s. As been said before, DML T-34
s are the best on he market following the Tamiya ones and Maquette. Maquette makes a whole bunch of cool T-34`s such as the T-34/57 Tank Destroyer, T-34(r) and T-34/100.
Edit: Typo.
If so, I’d go with WW2 Productions snap together resin tracks for the T34. They look good, they are light but they sag, and they go together easily.
know I’m late on this one, but I built a T-34/76 Captured version, and it was a gem! It’s the same thing as the Mod. version, only with German bits instead of some Russian bits, BUUUTTT… the German ones are optional! It was a fine kit, until the dog broke it LOL
I’ll be starting my build on the Dragon T-34 mod 41 soon. From the looks of the parts it seems to be an excellent kit.
