Looking for a good pin vise

I would like to know what brand of pin vise other forum members are using. I find that the one I have, which does have reversible chucks, can’t manage the teenier drill bits. The vise can’t grip the bit firmly enough to keep the bit from slipping, and I end up drilling the hole by using my fingers as a hand-dandy vise. There must be some brand of vise that will hold and render usable a size 80 drill bit.

Thanks to all who reply.

I can’t remember the brand of my vise, as it’s unlabeled and I threw away the packaging ages ago.

With best regards,

Excel released this one last year at iHobby.

I have been using these for years. The two on the right are tip cleaners used for cleaning gas welding/cutting torches. They come with an assortment of bits inside the body. Available at most places that stock welding supplies…I got mine at a local hardware store for under $12.

I picked one up in the tool section at OSH.

It’s sold as a tip cleaner for torchs.

Comes with about a dozen bits.

Eric…

I asked about a pin vise at the LHS, they wanted $20.00.

I boogied over to Harbor Freight and poked around, I picked out one that had about 6 bits, AND a giant set of tiny bits in a blister pack, i think it was under $5.00 out the door.

I don’t even know if there IS a brand name on it, but I know it works.

I just looked on line and don’t see it, but it is in with the drill bits.

Tamiya makes two. Get the better one. Best one made, period.
