looking for a F-5/ T-38 talon

Hi all. I was wondering if anyone has seen or knows where I could find an F-5b/ t-38 talon in 1-72 scale? I need him to finish my Thunderbirds collection. I am also wondering if superscale is still around as I need the decals for the F-105b of the Thunderbirds.

I’m not aware that there is a true T-38 out there in 1/72, some F-5B kits masquarading as T-38s but no true Talons.

Some years ago FSM ran an article about how to convert a 1/72 Esci F-5B into a T-38.

Revell Germany makes a very nice F-5B, I’ve been told it is the old Esci kit, but I don’t know for sure.

As for the Thud decals, even if Superscale isn’t around anymore, I’m sure someone else has done a set of Thunderbirds markings for one too.

Italeri makes a pretty nice F-5A in 1/72. Can’t think of any T-38’s unless you want to move up to 1/48.

Regards, Rick

every so often an Airfix 1:72 Talon turns up on evilBay, you might run a quick search there.

Great Models has a 1/72 T-38 kit in stock from PM Models… I don’t know how good it is or if it is a real T-38 or just another F-5B, but it’s cheap.

I’m told the PM kit is just a really bad copy of an old Matchbox F-5B kit.

Hi pals:

I have a Hasegawa 1/72 T-38A talon, also includes decals for T-bird no.2, but this kit are wrong, because if you see the model, is not an T-38 really an F-5B, have a LEX, fuel tip tanks and parachute hosing in the root of tail plane
