Lucky enough to visit the London Toy Fair last week. Not that many stands now that most of the larger distributers seem to restrict their funds for Nurenburg but I managed to pick up a few catalogues and new stuff as follows.

Yes! That’s what I’ve been wanting to hear. I managed to get one of the 1/72 sets, but I really wanted the 1/48 set.

Glad to see Airfix will be carrying on. I’d sent some emails to Hornby, and though their staff couldn’t be specific, they did say that good things were coming soon.

Now maybe I can get my hands on a TSR.2 at less than Ebay prices. [;)]

Sorry that ones not in the catalogue, and the way it sold I`m really suprised. But keep everything crosed and you never know.

This is one of the things I can never understand about kit manufacturers. I presume that they have the mould, and although it has its faults its the only one in town and yet nothing. Perhaps their holding it back for their club members but for a company that has made such a large outlay for this product, this would give them a quick return on their investment to create new and rework old moulds. Maybe this is why I aint rich and dont understand business.

If there is customer demand, hopefully they’ll release it. It should be very profitable for them. There’s been quite a few AM sets pop up for it. And since it’s a done kit, you’re right- the costs should be lower. It sold out fast when it did run. Maybe they’ll box it up with some AM stuff! [;)]

My guess is the consistent money will be in the paints, since there are lots of folks who use the Humbrol paints even if they don’t build Airfix kits.

Cant wait to get my mitts on one of those 1:48 Canberra’s. Hopefully it will make classic airframes rethink their ridiculous asking price for the same kit.

Wow…the Nimrod and the Canberra’s too…we must have all been good last year to desrve such bounties! Now, how to get the kits into the house without the significant other not knowing about it? The Spitfire Mk I and II kits (2 in 1) an the Spitfire set (Mks I, IX, and FR 22/24) would be cool too! I just wonder how much $US and when will they get here…soon I hope! Would also help if my LHS would finally get some new tins of Humbrol Paints, the last couple I bought were thick enough to serve as filler!

Maybe they have been ordered by the M.O.D to scrap everything, like the real TSR.2? :wink: :wink: :wink:
