List of armor kits that have interior detail In the box?

I am building the academy tiger and i LOVE it.

I looked at the other models with interior and they seem to be either m3’s , m10s, and stuarts

Are there any other kits that have interior IN the box ?

listing as many as possible would be a great help

1) The Bronco CV Tankette series

2) The AFV T-34 is AWESOME.

  1. Dragon has a nice line of Panzer 1’s (and I think there’s a new Panzer 2 with an interior- IDK if its out yet- I just remember hearing about one)…

  2. Bronco has a number of other kits with full interiors and engines straight out of the box.

Those are the best ones I can think of off the top of my head.

ya the t34 was one that i was looking at

are the clear parts QUALITY clear parts?

Tristar…Pretty much all of their kits come with full, nicely detailed interiors. Sure you might have to pay more then the average kit, but Tristar kits are worth the money in my opinion if you want a super-detailed kit on both the exterior and interior.

The Tristar Pz IV kits don’t have an interior, nor do the 38(T) tanks, though there is an optional add-on crew compartment interior for the 38(T) family of kits. (The Marder III H does have a basic drivers compartment, but no engine)

Academy M18 GMC, Tamiya/Italeri M8/M20 armored cars, Academy M12 GMC…

Heller 1/35 VAB 4 x 4

Skif T-55, BMD

1/35 Hobby Boss LAV-150 w/ 90mm Gun

Academy M3 Lee and Grant

Tristar Marder III H

DML Stug G III Smart Kit has a nice fighting compartment

How about SPGs or half tracks or open topped vehicles in general? M8 Howitizer Motor Carriage, M18 Gun Motor Carriage, DML Marder II, DML SdKfz 234 series, US half tracks, German SdKfz 250 and 251 half tracks.

I have some Dragon Smart Kits with interior, Academy Stewert M3A1[li][um]

I recall that all the CyberHobby hetzer-based prototype models have pretty much full interiors. The Marder series from DML all do as well–I think someone mentioned that…

Ditto that for the gigantic Trumpeter German “Grille” vehicle based on the King Tiger.–just picked one up myself.

All the 1/24 car models I was working on for the past year or so came with interiors too. [;)]…[:D] lol

It would be nice if they started including transmissions and seats in Pz IV and Sherman based kits, so you could post the hatches open with AM parts.

Hi guiltyspark and welcome to this forum

I have the Academy Tiger myself and as you already stated it is a lot of fun building it with all its welth of interior deatil.
The rivet counters will say that althoug a lot is there it is not accurate… but lets park that, after all its good fun.

I find the problem with kits with interior is that you want to display it, but usualy that compromises the apperance of the kits exterior.

I like to leave a hatch or to open though.

In fact after I got myself the DML Late Tiger which is supposed to be VERY accurate but sadly lacks all interior appart from a basic depiction of the gun I got myself a second Academy simply to practise my poor Zimmering skills.
As a bonus I got another full interior set which has allowed me to open up hatches on 3 DML projects and show some basic interior.

Here are some kits that have more then enough interior detail…
DML #6264, Pz.Kpfw.IV Ausf.E - Comes with a nicely detaild turret
DML #6432, Pz.Kpfw. II Ausf. C - Comes with a nicely detailed interior, noe engine
DML #6263, Pz.Kpfw.II Ausf.F - Same as #6432
DML #6434, Pz.Kpfw.38(t) Ausf.E/F - The full deal
Bronco # CB-35016, Humber Scout Car MK. 1 - The full deal

Very Best Regards
Johan

The tristar 38(t) Ausf B kit #35039 has a full inteiror.
