I was rummaging through some old kits today, and came across this one.
I have no idea how old it is, because I received it as a gift some 10 years ago
and I got the impression that it had been sitting around a while before that.

Anyway, I was fitting some pieces together to just look at the shape, and before
long I had this much assembled without any glue at all. Would you agree that
this kit has a well-designed structure? LOL

Anyhow, I’ve just never seen a kit do this without any glue:


That’s about 20-30 pieces all staying together by tabs, pins, slots, etc.
It would fall apart with a mild shake of the hand, but still…

That is incredible, especially considering the fit of some Lindberg’s I recall building years ago.

Guy at the LHS said the Tamiya Spitfire Mk. I was much the same way.

Cool B-58- that’s always been one of my favorite jets. That’ll build into a great looking bird.

I’ve got a number of projects in line before this one, but yes I will build it eventually.
