Does anyone here have any info on this brand. I have never put together one of their products but one has recently caught my eye. Curious to know about kit quality and details that are typical of Lindberg products.
Lindberg can be extremely frustrating to build. Lots of flash, poor kit designs, overly complex and many people avoid them like the plague. They will challenge your abilities, but will reward patience and skill!
They make kits no one else does. If you want a 35 Auburn Boattail, they’re the only game in town.

Lindberg kits vary widely. Over the years Lindberg has bought up kits from other makers, some of these kits are difficult to say the least. The '48 Lincoln, '35 Auburn and '37 Cord are notoriously hard to build with complicated assembly and poor fit, but I have seen them done well so it is possible.
The 3 in 1 1934 Ford truck is an old AMT kit and is a pretty decent kit even by current standards (it was tooled in the 1960s), do not confuse this kit with the '34 roadster pickup which is completely different and not as good.
Most of the kits Lindberg tooled in the 90s or later are good kits equal to AMT or Revell. 1953 Ford Victoria, 1966 Chevy Chevelle, '64 Dodge 300, 1997 Ford F-150, '64 Plymouth Belvedere, '61 Chevy Impala, and Ford Crown Vic police car are all supposed to be nice kits (I haven’t built all of them), the Dodge Charger police car should be good too from what I’ve seen so far.
Lindberg is one of those companies that it is usually best to ask about a specific kit before buying. They have re-issued a lot of stuff from the 1960s, some of these kits are highly inaccurate, some hard to build and most have less detail than people are used to these days.
On the other hand their prices are pretty reasonable and they usually use an actual kit for the box art, so you get some idea what is possible with the stuff in the box unlike some who use a painting that may not look anything like the finished model.
The particular kit i am looking at is the 69 tilt cab truck with flat bed trailer and a 40 ford on the trailer. It caught my eye as being very unique and i thought would be an interesting though time consuming build. Has anyone here attempted this kit? Some of the comments make me a little leary but the price is on the cheap side so even if its bad its not a huge loss.
I know the kit you are talking about, it is an old kit from the 60s that Lindberg reissued a few years ago. It is kind of fiddly with opening doors and such. I’ve seen several built and they are not supposed to be too bad if you are patient and test fit the parts frequently. The detail is prety good and they look good when built. One quirk I’ve heard is the truck sits like it has no load so the back is high, not real obvious but you might want to level it a bit during assembly.
The version with the Ford & flatbed was the first one reissued and I’ve heard it has a fair amount of flash but Lindberg used the money from the first reissue to clean up the tooling. I have the kit that is just the cab and it is pretty crisp with little flash. I don’t know if the current version with the flatbed has benefitted from this or not, but I would assume so.
I also have the '40 Ford, it is ok, not the best kit but doesn’t look too bad.

I built the Dodge Cabover. There was virtually no flash, however (uh oh, Lookout when they say that LOL) the Dodge will try the patience of a Saint. but after everything it is a good looking truck.
There is mine. I told everyone if they open the doors, they are getting shot LOL
I am building the Ford right now. I’ll post pics when i get it done.
HI, the kit you speak of is not that bad.You do have to be very careful about the doors and how you mount them.The rest is fair to good.I haven,t built the trailer kit yet ,only the tractor. tankerbuilder
