Lindberg (and other) Lysander(s)

Has anyone reviewed the old Lindberg 1/48 Lysander, or built one? I’m wondering how accurate it is, given its age, tech at the time of its introduction (1967), etc. Seems like a nice offering even after all of these yrs. If anyone’s built the Italeri or other kits, I’d be interested in your feedback, as well.

Thx in advance,

Morgan

Lindberg’s Lysander kit costs around 12.99, Eduard’s costs about 60.00… That’s all the “review” I need to pick the Lindberg kit, lol…

The old HAWK-Testor’s/Italeri kit was good one too…

The Eduard and the Gavia kits are the same model with different decal options. Of course Eduard gives PE and the interior/exterior is more detailed.

I built Testors offering...really good kit, especially because I got it for 5 bucks on Ebay! BTW...I see the Italeri kit on Ebay often....$15-$30 range. Id hate to pay top dollar only to find that they`re basically the same kit.

Isn’t the Lindberg Lysander kit just the old Hawk Models kit? I was under the impression that the company that now owns Lindberg also has the old Testors/Hawk tooling as well. I remember my brothers and I having that Lysander kit back in the late 60’s. We had issues with the old tube glue and our kit suffered from severe wing droop…lol.

Cheers,Doug

This’s the one I built many moons ago…

The Testor’s kit is indeed the ex-HAWK kit, from '67, that I know for sure…

Judging from the pictures on the Lindberg site, their Lizzie definetly looks the same as the Testor’s/Italeri/HAWK kits…
