Just curious has anyone used a light box to work on the clear parts of a model (Canopies, windshields), if so what’s your opinions on it.
I used to, for things like tracing patterns, but used an old slide sorter and we recently got rid of all our film photography stuff, so no light box any more.
I use my iPhone! most smart phones have an option to use the LED as a flashlight. I just put a few pieces of masking tape over the LED to dull it down, and then i’m off. A lot of guys I know use their smart phones. Also does not take up any room in my work space!
I never thought about my smartphone. What I was planning on doing is making a box out of frosted acrylic, but that gives me another idear…
I feel stupid asking this but what technique are you talking about. Anything that can referee the fight between myself and clear parts would be a good thing

You can make your own :https://www.google.com/search?q=diy+tracing+light+box&oq=diy+tracin&aqs=chrome.1.69i57j0l3.7624j0j4&client=ms-android-verizon&sourceid=chrome-mobile&espv=1&ie=UTF-8
