Hi, has anyone used Lifecolor acrylics paints (from Italy) before? Recommendations? Thanks.
Hikarux, these are good paints, not as good as Gunze acrylics IMHO, but still very good.
You can thin them with Tamiya acrylic thinners, just thin them 50/50 and they will spray very well indeed.
They cover all the main colours, ie Luftwaffe, USAAF, RAF etc, as well as some of the less obvious, such as WWII Italian colours.
Well worth trying.

Thx for the info Karl!
Hi…great paint…IMHO the best, they might even ROCK !
Anyway…DO NOT thin them with Tamiya thinners…use WATER only…
Dont know how Karl used them with that thinner
AJ
AJ, I can even get their primer to spray with Tamiya acrylic thinner.
Never had a problem with it.
Just mix 50/50.

Hi Now thats very strange.
Every time I did that they clumped up.
Robin at Cammett.co.uk recommends a MAX of 2% ISO , but as a general rule you should use just water.
Can I ask why you use Tamiya Thinner with them ?
AJ
AJ I use Tamiya acrylic thinner because it contains a retarder, thus preventing the paint drying too quickly, either on the AB tip, or mid-air.
I also find it gives a better paint texture than just water, possibly as a result of the above. I used Tamiya thinner with Lifecolour, Tamiya(Obviously!), Gunze and Model Master acrylics without any trouble at all. The only ones I know you can’t them with are Vallejo acrylics.
