Life Magazine WWII USAAF Bomber pics

I stumbled upon this photo slide show a few minutes ago. Some pics have been well published others look pretty rare. Great stuff in color and B&W for bomber fans

Hmmm… Can’t steal ‘em the easy way… Gotta do the “Print Screen and Paste to MS Paint” method, lol… Great link, Stikker… Love it when you go surfin’ man…

Had that pic of the B-17 waist gunner a couple years ago and lost it when my HD crashed… Thanks for finding it again… I knew I’d seen those smooth ammo chutes somewhere before and couldn’t remember where it was until now…

Man, if that pic of an RAF pilot getting a haircut while sitting next to a Spitfire ain’t a Battle of Britain diorama idea, then nuthin’ is, lol…

I can imagine the Life photo archives have more diorama material that we have time in our lives… The WWII stuff alone is fabulous!

Try the Windows 7 Snipping Tool. Anything you can freeze-frame on screen can be snipped.

Another good trick is snip multiple frames of a movie and then use Windows Live Photo Gallery’s “Create a panorama photo” and “Autocorrect” to improve the resolution. Dither the Cloud!

My OS is Win 98… It’s so old that during the winter I use Storm Windows…

Anyway, I just turn the screenshot into a .jpeg and then mail it to the wife’s PC, which has WinVista and a photo-cropping feature… Works ok, just a few extra steps…
