latest project, DML JSU-152 almost done`

DML’s beast, the JSU-152. done for the Cold War Group Build. it represents a unit belonging to the Chinese PLA Heavy Artillery Regiment…

need to finish adding extra track links and weather.

ENJOY and comments please, good or bad. [:D]

Looking great, can’t wait to see it completely done.

Are you going to leave it as a relatively clean vehicle or go with something dirty? It looks
great so far.

Looks like a nice sharp build! Ready for some weathering.

The only comment I can make on the construction so far is that the track sag is perfect in some places, but lacking in others. Particularly in the shot of the left side, you have some nice sag in the rear, but none is apparent in the front half or so of the run. Also, on the right side, you have nice sag in between the return rollers, but none between the idler and first return roller. Granted, with the dynamics of tracks and all, anything’s possible! These are Dragon’s indy links, right?
Not a major problem at all, but I thought it worthy of comment.

Looking forward to seeing the finished beast!

Very nice looking build so far. Keep us posted.

Looks like a real monster Geoff, I would agree with Brian’s comments though, something you’ll want to fix before finishing.

Regards,

Steve

Jhulk, yeah the dragon links… not the best ones. The fit was so tight, I had to file the middle contact of each link before connecting them… once together, they were a pain to work with… typical of an older DML kit.

thanks for the comments everyone.

kaleu, i’m gonna dirty it up a bit, but since the chinese did not commit heavy armor in korea, it won’t be battlefield dirty…

Nice job, tankergeoff! As this is very similar to what I’m building in the TD build, it holds a place near to my heart;[;)] What color did you use to paint it? I asked the same in the TD forum because I’m getting ready to paint mine, and I’m not sure of a good match for Russian Armor. Thanks!

i used model master Russian Armor Green… dead on accurate!

Something cool about those beasts. Keep it up.

thanks for the comments everyone. appreciate it.

Looking really good there mate!

Dave

Thats one beauty.
Keep us posted.
