(a bit out of date, the Airbus 380 has a wingspan of 80m and would come in at number 3 now).

I saw a C-130 in 1/48 made by Italeri (I think). That is not usaully my subject of choice, but it sounded intriguing. Them model itself has a wingspan of over 2’! I would have to build new shelves just to put that on! I barely have room for the few I have done now, much less a monster like that… someday though… [:D]

I think that the Revell B-1B in 1/48 is the largest production styrene kit out there, with the Testors/Italeri C-130 a close second, followed by the Revellogram B-29.

I’ve built the B-29 and love it. I’m currently working on the old Testors AC-130A Spectre gunship; it’s gonna have to be hung from the ceiling in my office, since it’s too big for anyplace at home.

Yup - those are all pretty huge kits. I have the Spruce Goose, C-5, and An-22 in 1/72 scale, and they’re huge too. I think I have to build one of them soon to clear up some room for more kits. The Spruce Goose box is stored in the dining room right now, and I think I’m pushing my limits with the wife on that one. No idea where I’ll put these once I’ve built them - maybe time to build an additional room.

I’m still waiting for a 1/72 Maxim Gorky. I don’t even care if it’s Vacuform. (If my Vac Goose doesn’t say anything, I’m not really intimidated by Vac kits anymore! [;)]) It would be a welcome addition in my collection any day…

I didn’t realise they only made six mars bombers, I used to live on the west coast of Canada and I saw the two that are still flying, and still working as water bombers, fly over together on their way back to Vancouver Island where they’re based, quite an awesome sight.
