Large Scale Models

I’ve been looking for large-scale model cars for some time and all my usually sources for model kits either don#8217;t have any or only have a few, and a google search has turned up nothing. I’m looking for 1/8th or larger, preferably older American cars. I was wondering if anyone could please post a link to a vendor or something along those lines.

Thank you very much in advance.

you can buy real junk cars from junk yard for couple hundred dollers :> , i found this on the net for ya http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=2581&item=5921702612&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW

Unfortunately, there aren’t many 1/8 scale models of any kind, old or new.
As far as older American cars, here is what I remember;
'27 Ford Big ‘T’
'32 Ford Big Deuce (Now reissued)
'65 Corvette
The Trans Am and a few Corvettes, and an IROC Z-28 from the mid eighties if those are old enough.

What did you have in mind?

Tried Pocher yet? Don’t know whether they just make European cars, though, but it’s superb models!

wow thats BIG ! fraid i cant help you, but id love to seem some pictures of those rides man !

S.C. Miller has (or used to have) some large scale resin kits of older U.S. cars, up to 1/4 scale. They need a lot of work to make them nice, but in large scale it’s a little easier to deal with. No web address that I know of, but they’ve always been listed in the products and services directory of the Scale Auto Annual.

Where did you see a trans am ???[:p]

Monogram made a 1978 Turbo Trans Am in 1/8 scale, and there is a link for one in the post above from ‘Themage’. Check it out!

Thanks MojoDoctor, I missed this one when it came out. I can pray for a Camaro Z for 71 - 75

Thank you all for you replies, i’ll be sure to hunt down what i can and post pics for you all to see.

The only 1/8 Camaro’s I’ve seen are Monogram mid 80s Z-28. Look through eBay for a good idea of what is out there in 1/8 scale.
Good luck!

I’ve got the “Big Deuce” if you’re interested
