Many years ago, I had a model of a Landing Ship Medium Rocket, LSM(R) Bombardment Ship. I believe it was “box” scale and I seem to remember a dramatic painting on the box of the ship firing a volley of rockets. I wish to get that kit now. Does anyone know who manufactured it and where I could obtain one? My e-mail is fred_sirois@yahoo.com.
My Uncle served on LSM(R)-195 (I think) that was sunk off Okinawa in 1945. If you find one out there please let me know.
thanx. Frank
It was made by Lindburgh if you can’t find it at squadron.com or another shop try E-bay.

Thanks gents. I’ve found out that the kit was called a Bobtail Cruiser by Lindberg. The scale was approximately 1/168. It was a later version of the LSM(R)-401 class. Frank, the ship you are looking for is an earlier version and looks nothing like this kit. Sorry. Now, if I could just find one at a reasonable price…
