Hi everyone,

I have started a couple new projects finally. One is I am scratch building a Lagg-3 and was wondering if anyone new of a good detailed book of this plane with lots of pics everywhere. I am in need of it.

This is a sample of what I have found on the web

For good photos to go with the good bit of plans and info I already have would be great.

Squadron in Action series has one on the Lagg -3. It was real helpful when I built my Lagg-3.

This may be slightly off topic, but does anyone make a 1/48+ scale of the Lagg-3?

I have only seen vacform kits of the Lagg-3 in 1/48. Very basic, old, east european stuff. Don’t know the name of any manufacturers, sorry.[B)]

LTD produced an injection molded 1/48 LaGG 3. It’s a very basic limited run kit, with lots of flash and no locating tabs/slots. A vac canopy is included. I built this one a few years ago.

At what scale are you going to build your lagg?

Thanks for the info.
I really hope to see a better LaGG release soon. There is one out of 1/72, but thats a little too small for me.

Its already under way Rick… I might be crying on your shoulder time to time :wink:

RemcoGrob that is my initial set of plans getting me started. I would like to do this 1/32-1/24 scale but I am having a hard time with the bar scale on the pages as to figuring out what scale the drawings are. I have full info on dimensions so the vaccuforming is no problem, but in a way I feel I am “winging” it a tad on the internals. I might instead go 1/48 because I have a good eye for it.
