I really like the nice dusty, desert look, the worn out seat and chipping really make it pop.
by the way,are you the Mr T who frequents the Modelers alliance site, either way welcome to FSM,great work
Yep that’s me

I am definitely a fan of your light weathering; just enough without making it look like you’re hiding errors with mud. That Chevrolet is such a classic kit. I have one I built in the late 70s or early 80s, but doesn’t look anything near as good as yours does.
Like this a lot. Especially the ammo out where you can get to it. Lots of these LRDG builds forget the ammo. Know if I was manning a gun I’d like to have it handy when the going got real hot, and not have to dig through the various packages and tarps, etc.
Thanks!
I never have been a big fan of heavy weathering because if you go too far it takes away from the model. Not that I never mudding things up a bit. I just try not to get carried away.
Terry
Thanks!
I agree! if I’m living on this truck I want my ammo close.

WOW !!! I’m simply amazed at the high level of workmanship that you Armor guys continue to display. I am primarily an Aircraft guy, mostly because when it comes to Armor I don’t know very much. Thanks for taking the time to post your work. I can study the photos and learn from them. I do have some 1/48 Armor kits to build and display alongside some Aircraft. Keep up the good work !!! Bob
Looks great I really like the weathering, by the way how did you do the paint chipping?
Superb job on this one. Looks like a true veteren of desert warfare.[Y][Y]
Thanks Bob!
I do aircraft as well and a lot of the same techniques do cross over. So dive in and do some of that armor.
Terry
Thanks Clint!
I use small paint brush and Tamiya Nato Black in this case.
Terry
Thanks!!

Are the tires the kit rubber tires or after market? Its hard for me to see well enough to see what they are on the computer screen.
They are the kit tires

Thanks you. They look really good. Maybe I won’t be afraid to use them on the kit I have now.
These had flash right down the middle. It will take a little work to get them cleaned up.

This is certainly the best Tamiya Chevy I’ve seen. Such a superbly done model deserves a few figures and a base! Excellent work.
