By chance I have both the Eduard and LionRoar PE sets for the mesh screens for this kit. On closer inspection they are markedly different in mesh size, although both sets have only one mesh size for all screens. (Lionroar on left Eduard on right)
So I looked at page 128 of Vk45.02 (JentzDoyle) where there is a good pic of Fgst.Nr.280404 and all three screens are clearly visible, and the rear two differ a lot from the forward one (they seem to be a much lower quality)
As Scale Caliber are now offering six different 75mm square stainless steel meshes in various mesh sizes, I thought I would try to see which mesh would be usable for each screen. As the meshes are graded at No of rods/25mm I counted the horizontal rods in the areas between the arrows and brought back the ratio to 25mm measurement.
As you can see, neither PE set is accurrate for both screens. As I only have this one pic to refer to I am wondering if these screens were typical, if not, does any one have any other reference pics I could see, that might shed some more light on this?
