Korean War USN Blue?

What is the correct spec for the USN’s blue from this era? Academy’s F-4U-B kit claims 15044, but I’ve also come across 15042 - they are close but one is noticeably lighter

EDIT: also, what would generally be the accepted colour for the HVAR’s? Different refs mention OD, or silver with grey tips

Navy regs for the time, is Glossy Sea Blue, 15042.

Ive gota F9F-5 Panther in the stash and it calls for the 15042 Blue. Looking at the directions in the kit for the Panther, it states the rockets are to be OD with Silver Tips with the mating pin/rail holder to be in aluminum.

That 15042 is really, really dark, almost black in the 595a color chit.
